Tom Cruise, Bill Nighy, Kenneth Branagh

He did himself no favours jumping on that couch. But with his hilarious performance in Tropic Thunder, we’re wiling to give him another chance and it seems it actually deserves it – in a way. He’s a very talented actor and if you can put all the craziness to the back of your mind and get into the character and the plot, then there is no doubt you’ll enjoy this movie on some level, despite the inconsistent accents. Based on actual events surrounding a plot to assassinate Hitler during the height of World War ii, it does leave you with the sense that something could have been done better. Did the casting of Cruise make this mission impossible? (boom, boom!)
