The film premiered at The Toronto Film Festival on September 18th, adding another stunning achievment to the long list for the White Stripes. Director Emmet Malloy followed the duo on their last tour across Canada in 2007 where they performed in every province and territory in Canada from B.C to Newfoundland. The film gives a rare insight into the otherwise very private lives of Jack and Meg White. Mostly shot in black and white it plays on media stereotypes associated with the band such as the nature of their relationship. The opening credits to the trailer states “A Brother and Sister’s Journey Across The Great White North”. The film is said to include “a captivating mix of striking live footage and poignant off-stage moments”. Release dates are yet to be announced.
