Twlight New Moon

The story takes us deeper into the Cullen family and the conflict of (apparent) good vs (apparent) evil. The CGI is seriously impressive, the swift movements of the vampires, the wolves, the fight scenes a la The Matrix… it would give it away if I said anymore.

We all know the market for the Twilight story and while allowing that context there is still little else to appeal to any other audience. While the CGI and cinematography is very impressive, the acting is one dimensional leaving little affiliation between the audience and the cast. There are too many dramatic slow motion walking towards the camera with windswept (yet perfect) hair and dazzlingly bright eyes. A lot of any-excuse-to-show-the-ripped-body scenes, much to the delight of the teenage guests at the screening and no doubt increasing its potential merchandise purchase appeal. But you’d have to be made of stone not to wish for a happy ending for the young star-crossed lovers Edward and Belle.
