If you like chick flicks where you know exactly how it’s going to end after the first scene but the romantic in you wants to see it unfold anyway, then this is for you. Katherine Heigl plays Abby, the control freak producer of a local television breakfast show and Gerard Butler plays Mike, the rogue, ‘ugly truth telling’ new presenter.

Mike talks about relationships, the truth behind all men and what women need to do to get one. He’s a total male chauvinist, but he’s got the likable-softy background too. Abby is a idealistic romantic, waiting for her prince to sweep her off her feet, just as long as he meets the 10 points of criteria she has set out for her ideal man. Despite themselves they become friends as Gerard tries to teach Abby how to act around men. It’s an enjoyable, no brainer. If you liked My Best Friend’s Girl, you’ll probably like this. TK
