The Tchaikovsky Perm State Ballet proudly presents Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet accompanied by The RTE National Symphony Orchestra, running at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre from Wednesday 13 – Friday 15 November with choreography by Kenneth MacMillan.
The much anticipated return of The Perm State Ballet will follow their highly successful performances of Swan Lake and The Nutcracker last December. Romeo and Juliet wowed audiences when it had its premiere in Russia in May.
The ultimate love story, Romeo and Juliet meet at a ball and fall passionately in love, but their families are sworn enemies, divided by a bitter feud. A tragic tale of star-crossed lovers: Kenneth MacMillan’s poignant Ballet is a twentieth century classic. Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy has never been interpreted better or more beautifully.
The Ballet will also reprise it’s unforgettable production of The Nutcracker at the BGE for Saturday 16th – Sunday 17th November only – equally unmissable.
This most famous story of a young girl receiving a Nutcracker doll at Christmas, and then experiencing a magical adventure, with her dolls coming to life and the Nutcracker doll transforming into a handsome prince is the stuff of true fairytales.
Tickets for both shows are priced from €35 are on sale now from Ticketmaster Outlets Nationwide.
