The Gate to stage ‘Look Back In Anger’

The Gate Theatre presents

Look Back In Anger by John Osborne

1st February – 24th March, 2018

Award-winning Irish theatre director Annabelle Comyn takes fresh look at the explosive words of playwright John Osborne in the Gate Theatre’s new production of his 1950’s play, Look Back in Anger –a play which launch-padded his career to international fame. This blistering new staging of Osborne’s 1950’s international hit play, tackles themes of sex, class, religion, politics, the media and the sense of a country stifled by an official establishment culture. The play focuses on the life and marital struggles of the play’s main character Jimmy Porter and wife Alison, while addressing the rise of the Right Wing.
