Organisers at Sunflowerfest 2012 are seeking volunteers to work at this year’s event. In return they are offering a free weekend pass to the festival. The festival takes place from 17 -19 August 2012 on Tubby’s Farm, Hillsborough, Co. Down. Volunteers are needed in various areas of the festival, full details below. Here’s what one of last year’s volunteers, Áine McKerr, had to say about her experience:
“Volunteers get free camping – food vouchers, the chance to check out the rest of the festival when your shift is finished. I just love it. I always enjoy myself volunteering. I love music and if I can help out to make things run smoothly then I’m there. I’ve made great friends through volunteering. I’ve even met some of my favourite artists. You never know who you’ll bump into!”
Festival Helper:
Festival Helpers fill in the cracks, look after the details that make sure Sunflowerfest is easy, fun and safe for all. This is all over the festival – at the tent areas, all the venues/performance tents, workshops, the gate, fire exits … and everywhere in between.
Sunflowerfest Gardeners:
Sunflowerfest takes place in Tubby’s Farm in Hillsborough. There are fields and paths and woodland areas that the festival will be using for public access and we need to make this space beautiful and safe and ready for the festival.
Helpers for the Kidz Zone:
Remember what it was like to be a kid – freedom, fun and friendship! Calling all…Magicians, circus performers, clowns, acrobats, artists – anyone who has a unique and quirky talent.
