Sugarglass Theatre present All Hell Lay Beneath

“Tonight at the Magic Theatre – For Madmen Only – Price of Admittance: Your Mind. (Not for everyone)”

Sugarglass Theatre follow up their hugely successful staging of Beckett’s Ethica with a brand new and very different piece of exciting immersive theatre, inspired by the 1927 novel Steppenwolf by Nobel Prize winning Author Herman Hesse.

Praised by Absolut Fringe Artistic Director Róise Goan as THE new company to watch out for this year, Sugarglass Theatre Company take a bold new move into the world of immersive theatre with an evening which seeks to emulate the magic theatre party scene of Hesse’s landmark novel in the contemporary setting of Dublin’s own Workman’s Club.

This is a party like no other. Come join us in ‘The Magic Theatre’ and allow yourself to be immersed in a world inspired by that of the Steppenwolf – a shadowy underworld where your path around the party will be dictated by the choices you make. Lose yourself. Dance. Drink. Discover. An experiential interpretation of Herman Hesse’s novel Steppenwolf. This performance invites you on a journey of self–discovery and to question what it means to be an individual in a society more and more defined by the movement of the crowd.

Venue: The Workman’s Club
Dates: 11 -13 September
Start time: 10pm
Tickets: €12/14
Duration: 2 hours, without interval
