Republic of Loose are to take up a four month live residency at the Academy – one Friday each month from September through to December. These shows will be the band’s only Dublin gigs of 2010. Loose have earned quite a reputation for outstanding live shows, at MEG we feel this reputation is well deserved.
In May 2010 the band flew to Baltimore to begin work on their forthcoming album. Recorded in Wrightway Studios with Steve Wright (who’s catalog includes the most recent UNKLE album) the fourth Loose album is scheduled for release in early October. Hopefully we’ll have the pleasure of a single release on September 17th. The album marks a new direction for the Loose with Mik Pyro describing the work as more up tempo and groove orientated. Sold!
