Relief are a Dublin based four-piece comprised of Botham Valentino (what a name) on vocals, Daniel Hynes on guitar, Ed Scanlon on drums and Ciaran Hurd on bass.

It’s got to be ‘In the Summer Time’! Classic
Favourite summer band?
Oasis. Just general good summer time feel! Great for bbq singalongs and campfire guitar!
Best Venue to play?
Love playing Crawdaddy. Nice bar and easy walk in! Wonderful people their too!
Worst venue to play?
Well it was Eamonn Dorans in Dublin, but fortunately those days have gone.
Album of the year?
I’d be tempted to say Relief’s, but that won’t be out till 2011! Haha. Album of the year so far is an album by a musician called Luke Slott. The album is called The Home of Laughter
Song of the year?
Not sure what’s classified as 2010 new! The new Muse song ‘ Neutron Star Collision’ is quite catchy!
Oxegyn or Electric Picnic?
If we could take the acts of Oxegen and put them on at Electric Picnic, with the same crowds and facilities! What a wonder that would be! Electric Oxegen!
World Cup or Big Brother?
World Cup. The build up takes 4 years and everyone is behind the underdogs!
Jedward or Crystal Swing?
Neither. Both abominations to civilization and to how people see our country from the outside.
Gay Byrne or Ryan Tubridy?
Ryan Tubridy all the way! Great to see someone who is more than 1% in touch with the times, presenting our nations big talk show!
