NME Awards play Dublin

the maccabeesThe Shockwaves NME Awards Shows are ready to rock the Emerald Isle with The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club and Funeral Suits.

Belfast will also play host to The Maccabees and Two Door Cinema Club as they descend upon the Mandela Hall, Belfast (22nd Feb) joining them will be Panama Kings.

These gigs promise to provide an explosive set of pre-awards parties, leading us towards the legendary Shockwaves NME Awards, which take place on 24th February at the iconic O2 Academy Brixton,

Mould breaking indie band The Maccabees have had an amazing year after the success of their second album, Wall of Arms. The Maccabees will be headlining both nights with support for both dates comes from Northern Ireland’s finest: Two Door Cinema Club. Following on from their single ‘I Can Talk’ the band have become firm indie pop favourites.

Dublin/Limerick band Funeral Suits bring their edgy electronic sound to Dublin after previously supporting Franz Ferdinand on their Irish tour.

Panama Kings deliver their rock rhythms to the Belfast crowds, bringing their fun, fresh indie dance music to the Shows.

Shockwaves NME Award Shows 2010 come to Dublin on 21 February, tickets priced at  25.00 EUR (includes booking fee)
