Mundy / Strawberry Blood

The new single “Waiting for the Night to Come” is along the lines of Ronan Keating and his misguided solo career. With poor rhyming schemes such as “I miss the country, I miss the country, I miss the smell, can’t you tell”in his song I Miss the Country, or “Everything’s frozen, Everyone’s dozin” in the title song, there is an overall feeling of naff.

What happened to songs like “July” with their full band sound and up beat melody? 5 years in the making and guest vocals from Shane McGowen and Gemma Hayes on “Fever” can’t save the album. Ode to my Guitar or Me and My Guitar as it’s called on the album is apparently “taking the piss a lot”. You said it Mundy. TK
