Polaroid of Suella HollandAfter three years of commitment, Meath Arts Groups’ chairperson, artist Sharon Maher-Bordalo has stepped down. The committee voted photographer Suella Holland to take over the position at their recent meeting on September 7th. Suella says, “I’m delighted and honoured to have been voted in as chairperson and only hope that I can do as good a job as Sharon – she’ll be a tough act to follow.” Suella’s previous post as Group Secretary has been taken over by environmental artist/ ceramicist Heather Buchanan.

Suella Holland graduated from DIT School of Photography in 1993 and ran her own photography business for a number of years. She has been a committee member of Meath Arts Group for the past three years and designed and maintains their website. Suella has organized a number of events including the Cornmarket Festival as part of this years’ St Patrick’s Day Festival in Navan; a Teddy Bears Picnic and Art Fair at Le Cheile, Oldcastle; and a Fun Art Day and exhibition as part of the recent Heritage Week events.

Meath Arts Group would like to take the opportunity to thank the outgoing chairperson, Sharon Maher-Bordalo wholeheartedly for everything she has done for the group and wish Suella and Heather all the best in their new roles.
