Kells Leprechaun Ceili @ Farrell St, Kells followed by the Kelltic Bar. Trying to get a Guinness World Record for the largest leprechaun ceili ever. All money raised will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul. Leprechaun fancy dress ceili with traditional band on the street. All ages welcome, registration at 12-3pm in the Kelltic bar, followed by the offical after ceili party.

St. Patricks Day Parade @ Ashbourne. Food fair, parade and live street music during the day. The celebrations continue into the night with local pubs providing live entertainment.

Hot Air Balloon Fiesta @ Trim Castle. Stunning Special Shape Hot Air Balloons will fly daily from a base alongside Trim Castle over the Meath countryside. The most amazing special shape balloons in the world will be here, some of these balloons are 150ft tall.  The festival will include lots of other family fun activities including Easter egg hunts, daft raft races on the river, model hot air balloons, workshops and carnival activities.

My Hair Blows The Same Way As Yours @ Solstice Arts Centre, Navan. Runs until Saturday 06 March. Through intensely worked charcoal drawings, sometimes using paint and oil crayon on paper, the intention of the work is to convey emotional and sometimes metaphysical connection, as well as absurd hypothetical situations.

Ten Miles Round @ Highlanes Gallery, Drogheda. Ten Miles Round is a portrait of a rural community in County Louth where the artist Jackie Nickerson lives. Jackie Nickerson is the winner of the AIB Prize, 2008. The exhibition travels from the Gallery of Photography, Dublin. Runs until April 21st.
