At Knockanstockan, the hidden field over the stream is filled with the Faerie Hawthorn and the Witches Blackthorn trees. This enchanted area is set to become the home of the new Chill Out / Healing area.
The family camping, the Savage Tents Teepee Village including the welcoming ‘Big Lodge’ Teepee and the campervan village will also be housed in this area. Revelers can enjoy the music from the festival’s first ever custom built stage, hosting performance artists, singer songwriters, poets and more within its homely vibe.
The Faerie Field promises to be a truly magical experience with workshops Bear Grylls would be proud of such as tool making, fire building, exploring Celtic heritage, green crafts and a Faerie treasue trail.
The healing area will have a variety of therapists representing everything from the physical to the spiritual, including Indian head massage, holistic body massage, reiki, and more.
Not stopping there, the Faerie Field will also feature The Art Trail; exhibiting visual works and installations by varying artists.
While you’re wandering about after a gentle massage, thinking about the amazing Celtic survival techniques you’ve learned, The Pixie Trix folk will be entertaining with face- painting, storytelling, hula-hooping and general mischief. Organisers have kitted out a Yurt dedicated to Folklore Storytelling so you can get nice and cosy while you listen to fantastic tales of Tuatha Dé Danann and other such legends.
Knockanstockan welcomes the voluntary organization; HerbBis Ireland to help inform festival-goers of the ancient medicinal properties of the plants and trees within the festival.
