Isnaj Dui is a female flautist and electronica artist. Her album, ‘Abstracts on Solitude’ consists mainly of off-kilter, esoteric flute playing, very much in the ambient vein. Not unlike the kind of music you might come across in the chillout room in a spa complex.
Second track, What Lies Inside, takes seemingly random bleeps and distant fuzz, adding keyboards and flutes to create… music. The muted sound waves fading in and out of each other on Quarter Wave, and later the studied, deliberate chimes of Peripheral Motion could pass for Brian Eno. Other tracks such as Nature of Light see her pioneer an almost falsetto flute playing.
Many of the tracks are indistinguishable from each other but the overall effect is that of a soothing suite of music.
