The IMRO Showcase Tour returns with the best new Irish music, live from local venues throughout September 2011. The 2011 tour is now seeking applications from Irish artists who wish to take part in the eleven date tour. All genres are welcome.
The tour has been on the go for 20 years, allowing hundreds of music makers the opportunity to showcase their talents to thousands of music lovers. Bands and solo acts have performed at music venues across the country, gaining fans and catching the ears of talent scouts.
Commencing in September, the IMRO Showcase Tour will hit the road for the twentieth time. The tour will play out in Belfast, Derry, Dublin, Cork, Mayo, Galway, Kildare and Limerick. The annual ‘End of Tour Showcase’ takes place in The Workmans Club in mid-October. It will be presented in a different vibe to previous years with a day-long celebration of many of the acts who performed on the 2011 IMRO Showcase Tour. There will also be an educational aspect to the day and a number of the shows will be open to all ages.
