Dimensions Festival is almost upon us – begin prepping your laminates, updating your WhatsApp groups and start those techno stretches, it’s all about to go hi-fidelity.

The creme de la fun lineup includes:

Galcher Lustwerk
Major Shout outs to Galcher Lustwerk. This Brooklyn based wizkid will be representing the ‘working mans techno’ White Material label at Dimensions Festival. His ‘100% Galcher’ Blowing Up the Workshop all originals throwdown was chosen as the number one online mix of 2013 by Resident Advisor writers (no biggie). Filled with primal pulses and erogenous rhythms – think just fucked hair, sweaty collar bones and accidental naps. Magic

Can U Dance
The Can U Dance boys need little introduction. Rinse FM ressie Oneman ( I LOVE when people call his Steve ) and Jackmaster are the bold brash brats that want to get you moving. We are likely to hear anything but with 4 decks, 3 mixers, 2 messers as well as a “giant light show and some fucking big smoke machines” …this dapper duo won’t change your life, just your weekend.

The Internet
Champions of a slow burn The Internet are made up of Odd Future members Syd “The Kyd” and Matt Martian . Beginning life in the Odd Future camp as producers, songwriters and illustrators – they have climbed the lofty ranks to finally go it alone . They are winning us all over with their voyeuristic anthems of listless funk. I cannot leave this alone, nor do I want to.

San Soda
Legend has it Red D started the We Play House label to release his footballing comrade San Soda’s productions – making him the worlds greatest wingman. Productions aside, San Soda insists on tantric style 3 and 4 hour dj sets , setting out his stall to “go on little excursions, play disco, funk, soul and other stuff.”During his last Dublin visit he sipped frozen strawberry cocktails where we witnessed first hand this sublime strategy. Fired up by his contagious enthusiasm it was happy heads down – San Soda is literally the perfect host.

Huerco S
The Kansas city kid aka Mr Brian Leeds has come a long way from making beats on his Ma’s computer with an illegal copy of Fruits Loops. His Colonial Patterns release is a twisted, hypnotic affair – its extraterrestrial loops and amoeba splitting swirls rewires brains, intercepts flight paths and confuses submarines. Interestingly his Royal Crown of Sweden project could not be more different proving he can easily switch our feelings from a dark and stormy evening to a mojito fuelled waltz. Nope, he’s not in Kansas anymore, but wherever he is , he always feels right at home.

Anthony Naples
Life is pretty good for Young Mr. Naples. Part of the almighty Mr Saturday Night crew ( and for a few of us many a Sunday morning wha?) ,Naples spends his time releasing earworm records and circumferencing the world. His zero to hero tale reads like every Brooklynites daydream. Rising from crashing the infamous MSN parties with a fake ID – he was was snapped up by the famous New York family before they had even met in person (and before he even …*whispers* …had a Soundcloud account) .On hearing his Mad Disrespect release shortly after Kieran Hebden (Mr Four Tet) casually suggested Napes to do a remix for him (If Carlsberg did coming of age stories) cementing this cherry topped anecdote. But don’t think Anthony is all talk and no talent – he is all things to all men and yet exactly himself.

Special Request
I recon’ Paul Woolford loves Sunday pints. How else could he conceive his aliases names which include Bobby Peru, Hip Therapist, and Skip Donahue. Woolford LOVES to experiment, moving from jungle and techno with always more than a sprinkle of bass . While our flexible friend rarely stays the same, his ability to surprise us will remain consistent.

Jessy Lanza
Hyperdubs newest lay-dee hails from Hamilton ,Ontario. Her jazz background means she can spot samples like Jim Corr sees conspiracy theories , explaining that “One of the first things you learn is how to listen for things in other people’s music—picking out baselines and chords”. Lanza is a fanciful hybrid of an ethereal diva, grime goddess and illusive higher power – who also does a mean mixtape. Just you try and ignore her.

Dimensions Festival takes place August 27 – 31 .
