Sir Elton John’s management have confirmed that the star is recovering well following his release from hospital, having contracted influenza and an e-coli bacterial infection. Unfortunately this led to the postponement of the four UK shows and one Dublin show on his Red Piano tour last month.
Elton has been overwhelmed by the tremendous loyalty and messages of support he has received from his fans in Ireland & the UK and is terribly disappointed not to have been able to re-schedule his Dublin show,
Sadly, due to venue availability across the five shows including The O2 in Dublin and the logistics of the Red Piano show, it has not been possible to re-schedule the Dublin concert or the UK dates. Therefore the Dublin show is cancelled.
Aiken Promotions would like to thank all ticket holders for their patience over the last few weeks and confirmed that refunds of the full face value of the ticket would commence this week.
All ticket holders should apply to their point of ticket purchase for their refund.
Elton is now in the USA completing his remaining 2009 touring commitments. He is also working on new material for his new studio album which he is set to record in California.
