Dublin natives release their second album, which is an achievement in itself after problems with record companies and their ‘split’ earlier in the year. The freedom of working independently has brought added edge to their second effort. There influences are still clear to be seen (Joy Division, Pixies, Arcade Fire) but that’s hardly a bad thing, how many Irish bands are there that have good record collections and ability?
While it will, of course, please their loyal fan base, it should bring in plenty of new ones as well. Particularly with a host of Irish gigs coming up in the coming weeks. KD
