We Are All In The Dumps With Jack and Guy. Illustrated by Maurice Sendak.
Children’s author Maurice Sendak has sadly passed away at the age of 83. Sendak wrote Where the Wild Things Are and We Are All In The Dumps With Jack and Guy along with many, many more children’s classics. Sendak took children’s literature and flipped the entire script. His stories were so unique, somewhat dark and oftentimes a look at the mischievously smart mind of a child. Sendak not only wrote these classics, he also illustrated many of them in his own unique artistic style.
Sendak has left a legacy of literature which will most certainly always have a place in my home.
