Following on from the success of last year’s Rumbullion & GinFusion festivals, Brewtonic are back with Tippletown, a week long festival uniting some of Dublin’s best bars & bartenders to celebrate all things cocktails and spirits.
With three famed international pop-up bars, workshops, talks, roulette, a distillery tour, music bingo & a grand cocktail competition, Tippletown will mix up the educational side with the straight up fun side to the world of spirits.
Tippletown HQ will be based in Bodytonic’s newest bar venture MVP on Clanbrassil Street. There will be nightly events including Ringo 80’s Music Bingo & Blue Monday Fancy dress, Roulette with Walsh Whiskey, Vodka chess, a Banter chat on the art of cocktail making, a tasting of our Brewtonic ‘fancy’ buckfast, rum jenga & much more. Three pop-up bars, the infamous London Cocktail Club, Trailer Happiness and Aether & Echo, will take over upstairs MVP for a day each, with a hands on workshop hosted by their top bartenders, followed by an evening pop up bar open to all.
There’s also a ‘Tipple Trail’ across the city with featured bars, where their cocktail maestro will have created a Tippletown special cocktail available for the duration of the festival. Bars on the trail include Upstairs at Kinara Kitchen, Saba, The Candlelight Bar, The Dylan Hotel & loads more. You can read all about the bars, their Tippletown cocktail & it’s creator on the official website here. There will also be arranged distillery tours of Teelings Whiskey for those who want to learn all about the craft.
Lastly, the festival will close out with a grand old Tippletown Cocktail Competition in The Twisted Pepper which will specialise in whiskey cocktails. Applicants can apply to take part until 16 Nov here, and need to include their proposed tipple.
All Tippletown events are free, except for the workshops with London Cocktail Club, Trailer Happiness and Aether & Echo. You can attend all 3 workshops for €50, or €20 for one. Tickets available here.
