More activities added to the bill and another festival first for Electric Picnic. This year fitness bunnies can keep up their regime with three different options available – Bootcamp Ireland, Jane Shortall’s Cardio Dance Tribute to the King of Pop Michael Jackson and Outdoor Yoga, all providing special innovative classes during the festival just for picnickers.
Bootcamp Ireland will have military instructors on hand to put you through your paces and set you up for the three days of festival fun. With a mix of ‘get down and gimme 20′, circuits, local muscular endurance, strengthening and cardio work, it gives everyone the workout that you need to get you going. If press ups are not your thing and let’s face it they’re not for the faint hearted, then you can try Jane Shortall’s Cardio Dance Tribute to The King of Pop (That’s Michael Jackson for those of you that have been sleeping under a rock for the past month or so). Learn funky MTV style dance moves with some MJ rhythm thrown in. “Be prepared to sweat, have fun and get your groove on in this one hour non-stop dance session!” The cardio tribute will have up to 100 people in each class with all levels welcome.
Picnikers can take a break from hecticness and enjoy the calming effects of yoga under the leafy trees of Body and Soul area with Outdooryoga.ie. Professional yoga teachers will be on hand to help you unwind, relax and relieve muscular aches. Classes will cater for all levels.
