Bobby Womack released his new album “The Bravest Man In The Universe” on 08 June on XL Recordings. Co-produced by Damon Albarn and Richard Russell, the album was recorded at Albarn’s Studio 13 in west London and New York’s Manhattan Center between October and December 2011. It’s Bobby Womack’s first album of original material since 1994′s Resurrection.
Fans can check out a new Bobby Womack mini-documentary that gives a very special glimpse behind the scenes at the making of The Bravest Man In The Universe. Directed by Jamie-James Medina, the mini documentary features footage of Bobby in the studio during the album sessions in late 2011 and can be viewed here.
Meanwhile, Bobby is set to hit the UK in June for a brace of live performances and will be coming to Dublin for a show with fellow music legends Van Morrisson and Tom Jones in Marley Park on Saturday 25 August, tickets are on sale now here..
