Astronomy Ireland set up telescopes for Jupiter – Venus convergence

If you’re around the Blanchardstown area in Dublin on Tuesday evening (30 June), this event is worth a visit. Members of Astronomy Ireland¬†will be setting up some of their most powerful telescopes out by their offices to watch as Venus overtakes Jupiter in their orbital race. The watch kicks off at 9pm.

This won’t happen again for about another 107 years, so probably best to catch it now if you can. The Astronomy Ireland office is in Rosemount Business Park in Blanchardstown, directions are available on their website here.
