The third album will make or break a band, especially with two chart topping, award winning, record breaking albums in your belt hooks. Produced by QOTSA front man, Eagles of Death Metal drummer and Desert Sessions mastermind Josh Hommes and his musical touch can be heard throughout, except maybe a couple of songs such as Corner Stone where there is a definite absence of Hommes’ touch.
The band have certainly progressed. They may have lost some fans in their progression but if there is any justice in the world they will have gained four score times. Any battling musician has got to feel minusculed by the talent and range of this band. At the ripe age of 19 they recorded their first album, 2 years later their second and now their third. It’s a pleasure to listen to this album. Go out and buy it.
