For those of you disappointed by The Da Vinci Code, fear not. Howard seems to have taken on board the gross mistakes of his first encounter with Dan Brown. Although Tom Hanks is still the main character, some things can’t be helped I guess. So Robert Langdon must save four kidnapped Vatican Cardinals, all four of whom are in line for becoming the next Pope.
The kidnappers have vowed to kill one Cardinal on the hour until mid-night when they will explode a bomb and wipe out the Vatican City. All in all it’s an improvement on the Da Vinci Code, but watching it give the feeling of watching season 147 of Jack Bauer saving the world in 24 hours. But the plot isn’t actually that bad, and I semi-enjoyed it despite myself – I think because I could talk my way through it and laugh at the ridiculousness. TK
