ABSOLUT Mode moves to Powerscourt

Sorcha O'Raghallaigh's creation

From 01-22 December the ABSOLUT MODE Irish design collection will be on-show to the public at the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre in Dublin. To celebration the centre’s 30th anniversary, the unique collection of bespoke pieces designed by five of Ireland’s most cutting edge designers, will be showcased.

ABSOLUT Vodka recently unveiled this year’s limited edition bottle, ABSOLUT Mode which pays homage to the brand’s 25 year heritage of collaborating with some of the world’s most creative fashion visionaries including Versace, Tom Ford and Stella McCartney. To celebrate the launch of ABSOLUT Mode in Ireland, five of Ireland’s cutting edge designers, Eilis Boyle, Helen Steele, Natalie B Coleman, Simone Rocha and Sorcha O’Raghallaigh were invited to follow in the footsteps of these fashion legends and create a range of high fashion pieces inspired by the ABSOLUT Bottle.

Members of the public can see a chainmail dress made from crystal, jump rings and chains designed by Sorcha O’Raghallaigh, a dip-dyed silk organza dress designed by Eilis Boyle, a lambskin leather dress with laser-cut details and Carrickmacross lace designed by Natalie B Coleman, a lace dress with plastic trapped lace collar and crepe de chine skirt designed by Simone Rocha and a multi-layered print look created with the aid of a wind machine designed by Helen Steele.

The Irish design pieces will be on show on the first floor staircase by the Clarendon street entrance of The Powerscourt Townhouse Centre. For more information visit their Facebook or follow the action on Twitter or #ABSOLUTMODEIrl
