From the director of Die Hard 2 and the producer of Speed, need I say more. It’s action packed from start to finish with explosions and muscle men. But somehow the Speed/Die Hard feel has been lost and I don’t say that with a smirk on my face. If you want to see a 90s style all-exploding, all-crashing, action packed film where the guy must risk it all to save the girl, this is perfect.
As cop Danny Fisher (WWE Wrestler John Cena) arrests Miles Jackson, Jackson’s girlfriend, standing nearby is accidentally knocked down and killed.
A year later Jackson wants revenge, so he decides to give Fisher a taste of his own medicene and take Fisher’s girl from him. Fisher then spends the rest of the film trying to complete the 12 rounds in order to save his girl, whatever makes him think he’ll actually get her back is hard to decipher and they make it hard for you to care what actually happens to the girl. Basically if you like Die Hard and Speed, you might enjoy this, but he’s no John McClane. Or Jack Traven for that matter. TK
